Counter-Propaganda.com is my personal blog. In fact, it is my second blog – designed to deal with the subjects outside Lithuania as opposed to my first blog – lietuviais.lt, that is supposed to be purely Lithuanian.
I created Counter-Propaganda.com in 2005 as a means to make myself start writing in English. In 2012 I remade it, and now I can practice writing in 
any language I wish. The links to the language versions available are marked by national flags at the upper-right corner of every page.
Sometimes, I rewrite an article in different languages. The English version of Counter-Propaganda.com is supposed to be the amplest. Every language version of Counter-Propaganda.com separately or all my new articles simultaneously can be followed via email, RSS, Twitter, Facebook or G+.

However, practicing foreign languages is not the only raison d’être of the Counter-Propaganda.com. Rewriting anything in different languages is a way of sorts of contemplation that allows you to see the same thing from different angles. Until you get bored, it can give you a lot of fun.
I do not bare much respect for either social, political, nor religion institutions. Their main objective is perpetuating the dominance of the biggest and the strongest (e.g. the winners of the Second World War in the world, the Sunni Muslims in Bahrain or the Catholic Church in Lithuania), so their truth, morality, and justice is just what their ‘nobles’ consider most convenient at the moment.
My mother tongue is Lithuanian. I live in Vilnius, Lithuania. Besides writing blogs, my other hobbies are picking mushrooms (a pretty common pass-time in my country) and bridge.
I worship the Lithuanian gods. The traditional Lithuanian religion and its Pantheon are somewhat similar to their Indo-European, such as Scandinavian, Slavic, or Greek, counterparts. I call myself Lietuvietis. My favorite goddess is Ragana, from the other Lithuanian gods I also distinguish Perkūnas, Laima, and Vėlinas.
In the following articles I explain my approach to the principal technical and ethical problems that always arise when you try to counter propaganda.
First of all, I’m Lithuanian. I love my nation and I’m ready to fight for it.
I’ve got many identities. I’m a man, bridge player, liberal, mushroom-picker, white, European, human, I was born and live in Vilnius, etc. However, when somebody asks me, ‘What are you?’, first of all I reply, ‘Lithuanian.’

I often compare the contemporary criminals in power with those stigmatised as ultimate historical villains.
Sometimes it is difficult to show how really bad something or somebody is. For instance, it is clear that the USA committed a lot of horrible crimes during the Vietnam war; however, hardly anybody calls criminals neither the US Government nor its military commanders.
Why I have no respect for aggressive religions
I do not feel myself obliged to respect those who do not respect others themselves, including gods, religions and their followers.
Generally, I deeply respect the private lives of all the people. I would never intentionally bother anybody about what I think about his life, faith, sexual orientation, etc. I never care about to which god others pray or do not pray, which temple they attend, etc.
My logic of dealing with propaganda
Simple deduction is enough for proving propaganda’s deceitfulness.
Any particular judgment is legitimate only as an act of deduction from generally accepted values.
Why I love to counter propaganda
I hate deceit and hypocricy, and propaganda is their most popular and most harmful form.
I am not so naive to believe perfect justice to be anything more than a dream. However, when one states that he is acting for the reasons of justice, I expect it to be true justice – i.e. a justice that is equal for everybody. For example, when a country (or a person) declares that it (he) kills its enemies because they are violating human rights, I can accept it ONLY if the country (the person) does not violate human rights it(him)self.
